It gives white people the chance to act like wiggers!!!!

wow your gay......sorry to ruin your thoughts but one of the best rappers is white (eminem) and i dont see WHY u feel that bcuz a white dude raps hes tryna be black....who set the catagory people are supposed to be in? to name more white rappers that are way better than MOST "black rappers" there is, company flow, atmosphere, i believe slug is white.....ummmmm your gay

I hate when it rains, cause in puddles I encounter this guy

Unable to give a rebuttal but swift as the pain flood his eyes

wonderin why he's a gift with no purpose

A priceless one-of-a-kind piece that's worthless

Grounded with no surface

And when he shows one, it's a facade

Cause inside he fights feelings that he was mistake by God

I see his confusion and self-deception

Questions of relevance and intelligence

He holds an illusion of self-acceptance

that he shows to those outside lookin in

He's outside lookin in to his own life; lookin for strength

to carry on as a pawn in this chess game of existance

In his mind he wants to go on to the dawn

and leave the stress that came with existance

Hopin in death he'll find life

Cause as he lives, he roams the dark, tryin to find light

He's made his heart so hard, he doesn't even cry anymore

Cause he's confronted sorrow frequently

His heart's been broken frequently

It's like he's lost some part of him and just haven't found it yet

So in his search, he's left with nothin but questions and regret

All he wants to know is how one day, he's content

and the next day he's cryin

cause his life isn't what he thought life meant

He just wants to be happy, with his love and all

But too often I get messages through telepathic calls

He's askin me through a puddle what more must he endure to continue

But for some reason he knows he most endure to continue

When I walk past puddles, my reflection calls beggin me

to answer his questions about life and his perceptions

and tell him why I hate him so much

And you wonder why I hate him so much?

Now when I walk past puddles, my reflection calls beggin me

to answer his questions about life, and his perceptions

and tell him why I hate him so much

****, I wonder why I hate him so much

Why did I hate him so much? I wondered, pondered on the question

What in my mind caused me to despise my reflection?

I didn't know I just knew when I saw him, how I felt

and hated the fact that he had to play with the cards that he was dealt

He's come in contact with some ill things that can't be explained

Life's extracted his energy to where the pain can't be contained

So to me he comes, sheddin tears like skin

Intimate with some, only the ones he calls friends

If he even exists, he only exists in pain

It's like his life is a myth

and he's been blessed with the gift of shame, I mean

From birth to love he's been betrayed

He's an unknown in how to cope with that pain and dissapointment

he's come to know as he's grown

He feels he stands alone in this world of puddle images

And he awaits the time for when, time finishes

He tries to elevate thought, but he's still chillin in the basement

Awaitin a rebirth of his soul as it fears it's spiritual placement

God I pray you can give me a purpose or help me find it

Cause on this narrow path of self-****ation, I can't find it

Is it somethin I need to know, some way I need to grow

to get out of this rut, God give me some self-trust

Love is somethin I'm lookin for but I've found it, or have I?

I wanna live but can I, or do I have to die to?

I try to, have life but my life seems kinda worthless

as I'm starin at this puddle

God I pray that you can give me a purpose or help me find it

Cause on this narrow path of self-****ation, I can't find it

Is it somethin I need to know, some way I need to grow

to get out of this rut, God please give me some self-trust

Love is somethin I'm lookin for - thought I found it, or have I?

I wanna live but can I, or do I have to die to?

I try to, have life but my life seems kinda worthless

as I'm starin in this puddle

I sit alone in dismal silence

Peering into the eyes of my reflection

Wondering if his thoughts are adjacent to my own

What visions of eerie savagery

are passing if purity lurks in the mind of he who I mirror?

Lookin at him I am disgusted

He lacks beauty in all external areas

and internally he seems so confused

Perplexed with this conundrum of life

He proceeds to function or cope, lookin at it realistically

Esteem he lacks, in all areas of existance

Reason unknown

What is the cause of the lack of this self-acceptance?

I mean it seems like he needs constant assurance

Some type of ritual proof that he's even worth the oxygen he breathes

A, light that shines upon him

Is his living in vein? Does he have a purpose?

Answer - eternally unknown

Rap music is awful.

You see that is one thing that is very ironic about eminem. He is the most popular rapper, and he is WHITE. I will bet you that he is smarter than every single rapper alive today. I dont like eminem but I have to admit, his lyrics are funny sometimes and they are more than just killing and drugs. He knows what he is doing. He is popular because I will bet that most of his croud is white. I know that many black people hate him, he is just in a totally different category than the rest. Rap is for losers. I go to church, and there are these two hot white chicks that we hang out with often. They love rap, they dress like black chicks, they have those bigg as earings like black chicks, and they talk SLANG!! Do you know how fuking annoying these girls are? I seriously want to smack one of them when i hear the phrase "Fa Sho". I just want to slap that nonsense right out of them. Rap is not music, it cannot be a part of you. Its just candy for the ears and a way to be "cool" (retarded).

*grabs popcorn*

And just for the record....

Now when you're young, death can make you aware of your mortality

At times we feel invincible, lose sight of reality

Until it takes a loved one, residing in our circle

It'll hurt you cause you miss 'em

Once were close, down you're distant

And it hurts just to know that they could go at any instant

Gotta love 'em by the minute, now you realize this

It's sad it takes a loss to appreciate the gifts

So celebrate the occasion, just breathing is amazin'

To see the sun rise and set, at a days end

A chance to fix mistakes that we regret makin'

Find joy in the simple things, no time for complainin'

The sun will shine, it can't always be rainin'

I know it hurts deep, but you must maintain it

I seen it in my homeboys Terry and Tom

They've lost so many, yet they keep so strong

To lose a parent or a sibling and have the will to keep living

Takes so much strength, so I admire y'all

And one day hope to find out, what is (bias?) y'all

And I'm still mad, askin' why it happens at all

Some say that God takes them, and they lean on mythology

But I choose to believe that its divine lottery

I can't believe God's lookin' down, waitin' to slaughter me

I can't live in fear, and I can't live here

Forever, so I treasure every moment

And its friendship, that I value the most

That kinship, the ones we hold close

And dear, and fear the most of losin'

But keep chewin'

The memories brewin', cause life keeps movin'

And its friendship, that I value the most

That kinship, the ones we hold close

And dear, and fear the most of losin'

But keep chewin'

The memories brewin', cause life keeps movin'

We came together like family, like it was our first death

Unexpected, so quick, so sudden, the worst yet

Didn't get to know the girl, 'til two years after her first breath

Still we loved her like a sister, as a depth of first steps

Got the call out of town, so alone I first wept

Deep pain, from the same place, is where this verse crept

Never slept in that bed again

The memory was too tragic, looked up and screamed goodbye

Knew you wouldn't be present at the wake, in your casket

Now your askin' things change since you left, not really

We still playin' games, BSin', actin' silly

See she don't talk to her and, she don't like me and

Will we work things out, thats not likely

I mean where will we start

Do we mend friendships, or let things fall apart

Will we still be in touch, honestly I don't know

But you're in my heart forever

Its friendship, that I value the most

That kinship, the ones we hold close

And dear, and fear the most of losin'

But keep chewin'

The memories brewin', cause life keeps movin'

And its friendship, that I value the most

That kinship, the ones we hold close

And dear, and fear the most of losin'

But keep chewin'

The memories brewin', cause life keeps movin'

And its friendship, that I value the most

That kinship, the ones we hold close

And dear, and fear the most of losin'

But keep chewin'

Pour out a little brew and blow a blunt while your cruisin'

For friends that your choosin', gotta love 'em 'fore you lose 'em

Stand strong when you do it, tough times, live through 'em

Don't give into 'em, stay goal pursuin' and

Doin' what your doin' 'cause life keeps movin' on

Rap music needs to be banned from society.

you ignorant as well, yeah maybe the girls your talkin bout are stupid but....to say its not MUSIC is like sayin slipknot, gwar, mushroomhead and all those bands are not a type of MUSIC but if i go to a room full of metal heads and say one of those bands are garbage and are not music, i would more than likely be jumped. its an opinion on what u think is music but to say something is not music because ur to into your own opinions is stupid. most eminem fans white? ...majority yes, but MANY latins and black listen to eminem, and i have never once heard an african american person disrespect eminems MUSIC, him yes, his music and his talent....NO....listen to atmosphere (woman with the tattooed hands) and tell me that does not have depth or meaning......listen to real hip hop b4 u start runnin your mouth on things u havent heard a single thing about. read the words of the brother ali song posted above.....it ruins your whole point of posting what u did.

This just goes to show that most look to rappers for guidance, inspiration, motivation, and hope.

Country music always talks about wives cheating, dogs dying, blah blah.

Heavy Metal is just a reason to do drugs and look like a freak of nature.....

Pop is teeny booper, Saturday morning, happy all the time........

The shit is music.......IF YOU NEED A MESSAGE........GO TO CHURCH!

I'm tired of people acting like rap music has to have a positive message in order to be worth something. Do you know that some neighborhoods in America, the youth only care about money, clothes, cars and respect.

Kanye West said it best in, "It All Falls Down"......

The "pointless rap songs" have a message that is sad and tells a hidden truth about Urban America.

Ever been in a club where gangs, neighborhoods, etc...clash with each other just because of where their from or represent.....Thats were Get Crunk music came from....They took everyday BS and turned it into a Mainstream Profit.

Ever seen that one guy, who you knew dropped out of school, but had the best ride, house, big money, and the finest girls.....Well some kids still find that to be the good life...Thus we began to flaunt our best shit to everyone.....

It all has a message.....The question is are you experienced or wise enough to see it and not just judge something you know little about. Its a sad truth and a cover up of low self esteem and the struggle to get out of poverty.

Most people only see material things and see the make-up....No one ever see the hurt, pain and the everyday struggle.

thank you. mainstream music is for entertainment purposes. if you want anything from music besides that check out beethoven.

i wouldnt disrespect someone for getting out of poverty by the way of music. i also would go as far as sayin HIP HOP music portrays weealthy lifestyles and a persons low self esteem either. rap, is b/s hip hop has depth. rap is what people listen to because "am that guy is so tight hes got the ice and everythign look at his whip" hip hop is what gauntlet and myself (off the top of my head) listen to for the majority of our music. all music has the same "negetive" message portrayed ina different way. "fuc u all fuc this world fuc everything that u stand for"-slipknot "whats the difference between me sayin i dont give a **** and history sayin keep me liberty or give me death" its all the same, and ur ignorant if u portray the messages spoken of as life....

I'm not following you, you are all over the place. First you say if you need a message, then go to a church, then you say it all has a message anyways so if you can't see it you're naive. Which is it? Do you only use the church excuse when the messages are negative, or does the fact that a message is simply present supercede the meaning behind it? Furthermore, why go to a church if you are looking for a message? What's wrong with wanting a message in music? Hell, you clearly agree with it, saying that behind the guns and cars and women is the poverty, pain, and struggle (which is true in some cases, and not even close to true in others). Do you enjoy contradicting yourself?

No. Hip-hop is a culture, rap is an aspect of it. Ideally, at least.

i disagree, hip hop is a culture with its own message in its music, which in my mind, i classify away from rap. we all have opinions, as i do see hip hop as a lifestyle, i see the music that comes from it as hip hop and not as rap. when people ask what music i listen to, i say hip hop and a little bit of rap, some kids at my school agree with that, others thing anything with a "rapstyle beat" is rap. saying there is nothing other than rap. but gauntlet, to your reply, thats like saying jazz is a lifestyle and blues is an aspect of it.

sirsyco maybe you just dont like black pepole, first of all ive seen white girls, latinas and every other race where the females dress like hoes its not a black or white thing and then you go on to say that you think em is smater than most rappers? why cause hes white?i just find it funney that its always a white rock and roll or country fan that wants to rail on rap ,when was the last time a post was written about how rock sucks buy a black person?we dont because we understand to each his own ,music is anything you want it to be and the reson why rap is so huge right now more so than rock, country, jazz, and other forms of music is because it crosses all lines of race its not just blacks buying this music its everybody, and dont bunch in all rappers in that "they dont say nouthing" catagory and i wont hold some of those 80s hairbands against you
