What is ohms?

Well ohms is the impedance of the sub if your sub runs 200rms @ 4 ohms you should try and stick with an amp that puts out 200rms at 4ohms and just run one channel. Forget about max power thats basically an irrelevant number. If an amp is 2 channel and it runs 175rms @ 4ohms I would stick with it. If you had two 4ohm subs that were rated at 200rms you could bridge the amp and run the subs in parralel giving them a 2ohm load and 300watts rms for the pair. Just stick with the single channel at four ohms if you have one sub. Hope this helped.
