WHat is flagship??

Evertime i see somehting about alpine or a description of one of there products, it is called a flagship product. WHat does it mean, i am confused.

Flagship means simply our top, or best product. Like the w7 is the flagship woofer for jl. Or the alpine type x is the flagship woofer for alpine.

It's a military reference, where the "flagship" of the fleet is the commander's ship - the biggest, best, fastest, most armored, etc...

Not always the biggest, just a ship picked to be the flagship, Like in japan the USS Blue Ridge is the flagship, and in no way is it the biggest, fastest or best in that battle group. Just fyi.
