Yes and more is not always better. People get really cared away with glue. Any glue that got squeeze out when I was building it got wiped off before it dried.

how did that cost to make

I have $80ish in two sheets of birch, $20ish into the oak dowls and glue, and $70ish into the ports. So about $170.
