I'm sure as the price point increases the differences also increase, but in the $1500 per pair range they are fairly similar- to my ears the B&W's sounded more warm and fat, whereas the Paradigms that I bought sounded more accurate, especially in the top end. Sorry if you disagree. My brother's system is all B&W's and sounds great, mine is all Paradigm Studio (can't even compare them to the cheaper monitor series) and sounds great as well. The Paradigm Signature series are even better still and also compete with B&W in the higher price points.
I have heard lot's of the 700 series and 600 series and 300 series. I also listened to a pair of 800 series towers, but who has 10k laying around for those. I am in no way saying b&w speakers aren't phenomenal, but I preferred the sound of the Paradigm Studio series over the equivalent price point in a B&W. I'm sure as the price point increases the differences also increase, but in the $1500 per pair range they are fairly similar- to my ears the B&W's sounded more warm and fat, whereas the Paradigms that I bought sounded more accurate, especially in the top end. I guess this is why there are so many speaker companies, everyone's tastes differ, but to you guys that want to crack me like I must be deaf, you can kiss my pucker I have just as much right to my opinion as you do and I went back and forth between some 805's and Studio 40's and just preferred the clarity of the Paradigms. Sorry if you disagree. My brother's system is all B&W's and sounds great, mine is all Paradigm Studio (can't even compare them to the cheaper monitor series) and sounds great as well. The Paradigm Signature series are even better still and also compete with B&W in the higher price points.
