i have a 05 magnum with two 9500s and a modded kx2500.1 my music is stupid loud but for sum reason my buddy hooked up his magnum yesterday with 4 pioneer 3000 watt subs and a rockford bd2000 amp and his music is make you wanna slap yo momma loud is it simply he has more subs then me or should i go back to the drawing board a start new or sell my 9500s and get four of sumthing

There are many variables as to why his is louder than yours....

Many varibles here. It could be a better box, more speakers or many other things that could come into play. Surface area of having more speakers was the first thing that came to mind.

I have to agree w/ you on that one.

I really look at the MTX9500's as a waste of $.

I would rather use a DD3500.

But yes, the difference is in the cone area.

And those Pioneers lean more to SPL.

But just for the hell of it, what are your boxes like?

i have the sldge hammer box buy mtx ported and the amp is about a little unde half way mine was hooked up my stereo doctors here in milwaukee so i now is not the install very good shop i really think its the amount of subs more spl
