what happened????

Alright, i have a bxi1606D screwed to my back seat. I unhooked all the cables to the amp so that i can run them under the backseat carpet to the amp so they couldnt be seen. I didnt unhook the battery before i did this so when i disconnected the power cable, remote, and ground cable i left the aside next to eachother, then i hear a buzzing sound and it seened the the ground cable annd the power cable touched, or i think they sizzled on the amp or somthing and it kinda singed the wires, nothing to big. Then i connect everything and turn on my car, my amp doesnt turn on. I check my fuses, their OK. What happed? did i blow my amp?

most likely you grounded it out. open up your amps and if you smell anything or see any burn spots, then yes they're fvcked.

ALWAYS disconnect the in-line fuses when messing with the wires.

I've seen amps fry from a screwdriver barely touching the case...after telling the person to unhook his fuse first...his last words before pulling his amp..."I can unhook it without touching anything....." $150 later his amp is back going...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow that sucks. I really dont feel like looking for another amp. I opened it up and theur was no brown spots. Does any one have a warranty i can have???
