What earbuds for ipod?

If you don't mind going used and have some money, Shure's E4C canalphones are great and have plenty of bass response. They make ipod buds sound crap-tastic. You could get a used pair for $150 or so.

I personally wouldn't recommend the Bose earbuds. A friend of mine has them and they didn't impress me one bit. They're overpriced and don't even compare to similar headphones you can get from Shure or Ultimate Ears.

bose in-ears
I had these they fit in your ears a lot more comfortably vs the ipod ear buds.

Then my sisters rat Chihuahua dog chewed them up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif:verymad:

Dr Dre's BEATS headphones

FTW though

Only one pair of headphones I really liked and was worth the money.

I am with this dude on the Shure ear buds I have found none better. I have tried all except the Vmoda ones people are saying but shure destroys bose. makes bose look like a joke in SQ. 3 years of 8 hour a day ipod wearing at work and the shures last the longest sound the best and fit the nicest, very cushy adapters. I had E2g s that where nice the one step below sound ok but get whatever the replacement for the e2g minimum if you want a decent pair.

I don't even know how someone could stand to listen to their iPod with the iPod earbuds. They **** arse!

I spent 20 bucks on some Koss pro's and love them to death. Almsot as good as my 150 dollar AKG's I bought years ago for my drum set. They are over the head phones though.

I have used the shures before, and they seemed pretty decent. I just can't stand the in your ear phones. Hurt too much in my case.

ah a topic worth posting in.

Ok, here are my thoughts:

Shure (i've had the E2's and the E4's for the past 3 years). They are very durable headphones, almost nothing will hurt or damage them, so if your clumsy, then they are good for you. They are EXTREMELY accurate as far as single driver headphones are, but they aren't exactly "club type" speakers, meaning your not going to get the good thump.

Vmoda: very club like. They aren't as accurate as my E4's but the Vibe Duo's I have are much more bassy and club like, meaning emphasis on low end. They aren't crazy or anything, Don't expect insane levels of bass, but they are very nice speakers that are just fun to listen to you. With the shures, its like you are listening for accurate reproduction. with the duo's, your listening for fun.

Sony: Very bassy. They are a little more shrill and it seems like they are recessed in midrange, so they don't exactly have the best reproduction qualities like shure...They are extremely bassy so if you interested in lots of bass you should go for the 51 or 71 type.

Apple: I hate their headphones. My friend used to have the in-ear style that look like the white sony 51's, and they sound like shit. Horribly shrill and almost no bass reproduction.

Hope that helps.
