What do you think?

Here's a description of my box as close as i can get it.. Theres the holes for the 2 subs, then theres 2 small speakers built into the box on the top, then theres a hole about 2inches in diameter on each side.. when i had the one xplode in there, the hole blew air out, so i modified it to stop the air from coming out of the hole (keep in mind these holes were buit into the box) because it sounded way better, and the bass was better pretty much everything was better.. theres one of these holes on each side.

No, ONLY look at RMS or continuous power. NEVER NEVER NEVER pay attention to peak. Your subs will be getting a measily 150 watts RMS each bridged. That amp will NEVER get anywhere near 900 aven if "LIGHTNING" does strike it.

So, basically what everyone else is trying to say w/o being mean is...(i'm going to come right out and say it...no offense made by it...but it's the honest truth) That equipment sucks. Bottom of the line. Sony subs are not good...at all...and that bolt amp is small and does not put out much power (150x2 RMS). Also, pre-made boxes are horrible.

Ok, you have a few choices. Sell your stuff...and buy some decent stuff with help from us. OR, make the most out of what you have.

Install really is EVERYTHING. It's been said 10% product 90% install. What you need to do, is...with help from us...design a custom ported enclosure for your subs. This will make them sound infinitely better and louder.

Also, check out the site that were given to you. And if you do decide to sell...

http://www.incriminatoraudio.com (call for direct pricing...look at the 187 series ~80-90 dollars...will annihlate any sub in that pice range.)

http://www.reaudio.com (call for direct pricing, the RE series)

For low budget quality rated amplifiers. Check out the Profile Clarus line, http://www.thezeb.com or http://www.ikesound.com or new from an ebay store http://www.ebay.com (Always pay attention to RMS ratings! NEVER PEAK!)

Will it sound better than 1 sony xplode 12" sub, with a Jensen 400 watt amp? Im not looking for over kill, I just want to know if this setup will be better than the last. But thanks for your info.. Ill pay a little more attention to RMS ratings next time.

ok..this is what you do.....about your box....

first find a clearance with like pile or audiovox.

find a box ported for your size speakers.....

if theres two and you only got 1 good sub just us the one for now....you might even be able to sell the subs in it and get half your money back....the whole box should cost $100 or under.....if you build it..you might never finish it...2nd always go 10 inch subs...opposed to 12. not much difference and cheaper.....i think.....

i just bought pioneer 10 inch sub..18000hz-....350rms.700max...that will beat some of our 12s i know.plus 10s tighter usually...than 15s....

i'm looking at a legacy box in a book now..but i'd reenforce that brand box myself.....$69
