Read the whole thread and really suprised Ron Paul hasn't been brought up much.
Im 18 years old and previous to going to college, was really apathetic to all politics. Within the last few months I've been keeping up religiously with politics. This will be my first year to vote and will go Ron Paul 100%. In doing research and homework on issues it seems that MOST of politics is pretty darn corrupt today. Lots of lobbying and bribery in order to get bills past just to make money. A little known fact about Huckabee is he was found guilty of receiving bribes. The only reason I know this is because he was the governor of my state for 10 1/2 years and it was broadcasted on the news. The media just didn't make a huge deal out of it because they didn't want to hamper his possible presidential canadacy. I think today we are forgetting about what our fore-fathers had in mind for us (having said that, I consider myself to be a conservative/libertarian.)
Ron Paul voted AGAINST the Patriot Act (including violations of our privacy as the constitution states.)
He voted AGAINST to putting regulations on the Internet
He has NEVER voted to RAISE taxes
However he HAS voted to cut government spending
voted to lower health care costs
voted to PRESERVE the constitution.
Every time I ask someone about voting, they said "I feel like I'm picking the lesser of two evils," Do you believe this man is evil? Because I sure as hell don't.
Ron Paul was not invited to the debate this Sunday night by FOX news....yet why isn't this all over the news? Who the hell does FOX think they are to influence public opinion like this.
Im not trying to persuade anyone to vote for Ron Paul, however I do challenge you to do your own research on him. I have and I'm a firm supporter in his message.
