What do you think of the Shiva-X?

Was browsing for some SQ/SQL woofers and came across the Shiva and Tempest.

The price on this link is high, but I found one somewhere else for 165.00. They showed a demo of the tempest on 600w freeair and it performs well, nice excursion.

Have you ever used them? Any of you?

Their fairly old drivers an a search in the subwoofer section would probably answer your questions

My dad has a 15" Shiva in a box tuned to 18hz on a 250 watt plate amp, it sounds good and gets low, I bet it could get louder with more power though.

The Exodus Shiva-X drivers are great. They're recommended in sealed/IB situations but they can work well ported, if designed correctly.

For the sale price now, you'd be VERY hard pressed to find a better overall driver, SQ and output level, for a comparable price.

Before posting an waiting for a damn answer why not try the search first, Would save time an tell you more bout the driver in a shorter period of time. An with all these damn threads you make bout which sub your going with next, you'd think you know that.

um i havent made any threads about what sub im getting next. last time i did was months ago. and i got what i wanted. i never said i was getting these. i was asking for opinions on them. kthx and bai

Actually the "x" models are relatively new. I ran an old Tempest for around a year and really liked it. Had 4 of them in my HT for a couple of years and they beat my house to death.

The new "x" models look even better with more xmax and power handling...
