What do you recommend?

Hey,

Car audio noob here, so had a question for you...

Currently I have 2 JL Audio 12W3v3s running off of 500W on a RF1001BD, sealed @ 2.5 CU FT. I want more bass, and don't have that much cash to do it. I was doing some reading, and may go to 4 10 RE SRs and run them off of this amp, but it would be 1000-1200W. Box would be around 3.2 CU FT sealed, forward fire, compared to the 12s that are up fire.

Which would be better, stick with the 12s or do the 4 10s?

go ported first, way cheaper than buying more subs and boxes and amps

I would go ported but this is going to be underneath my seat in a Nissan Titan truck.

Also wanted to get your oppinion of 4 10" RE SRs vs 2 12" RE SEs running off of same amp ~1200W.
