off topic but i wanna see your 810
It's a piece of crap that I'm gonna retire soon lol

Don't have any pics of it. It looks exactly like this one but paint faded and some primer. Missing some chrome etc. Has upgraded aluminum rims.

That is crazy..My dad had one of those..'77 or '78 IIRC. It was yellow with a straight 6 cyl /4sp manual and would white smoke the tires like crazy.

Ya it's actually a pretty cool car. Rwd, semi independent rear suspension, same motor as 240z but fuel injected. 77 had round headlights and 78+ had square.

'78 then..I remember the Square headlights. and yea, they are some cool little cars. Back to OT, The Denon looks nice, i don't know what to tell you there..I use a 12ch mixer and 3800 watts of Qsc and Mackie power in my living room..lol

Little help guys? Ready to bite the bullet.

Also, anyone suggest buying a refurb unit? The warranty is 90 days compare to 1 year, but I assume like most refurbs, like when I was refurbishing Cisco routers, they were getting updated parts. The price difference isn't all that much, so I assume the few extra months is worth the warranty.

i like Onkyo receivers - excellent features and budget friendly. Denon/Marantz are also fine, but you get more features with Onkyo.
Went with the Denon 1612, couldn't find anything for $200 that stood out above it with the features I wanted.

Paired it with the 2012 Andrew Jones designed Pioneer speakers minus the sub, and it sounds amazing, and I haven't even tried running Audyssey yet.

I'm thinking about getting a new receiver for the living room, and need something cheap.I was looking at this and seems to be the best bang for buck, and is also my brand of choice.

Denon AVR-1612 Home theater receiver with 3D-ready HDMI switching at Crutchfield.com

Not interested in paying more for music streaming or anything. Audyssey is a must.

Is there anything better for the price? Or anything as good for cheaper?

Craigslist is your friend for home audio.... >>

I found some cherry stuff for a fraction of the price you'll spend through an online store. Just make sure you get to check out everything to make sure it works before handing over cash!

I personally like anything with an Adcom name stamped on the front of it. Raw power that really can drive some home audio speakers.
