I'm a bit confused as to what I should use for my battery setup... Car: 2013 Subaru WRX - Breathalyzer unit - uses some power - Cobb Accessport 3 - very little power draw Under hood: - DC Power 250a alt - XS Power D3400 - Big 3 (1/0 gauge in conjunction with stock wiring) Amps: - Sundown SCV-2000D (Powering a loaded fi Q) - Sundown 150.4 (Powering 4x ID CTX65 components - 100-120w each) Maximum system draw = 2500w First off I'm not looking to do much listening with the car turned off, so that's not really a concern. I just want to make my electrical system adequate to keep steady voltage while running/driving and maybe just about 10 minutes while off, when waiting for someone to hop in or what have you. What should I use for my rear battery? Some say I need as by as an XP2000 or a second D3400. Would running an XP2000 pair up with the D3400 or would a second D3400 be worth it? Others say I may not need any second battery. Considering this I wouldn't mind running the small XP950 just to be safe and have power on tap with no voltage loss. Keeping in mind I believe both of my amps are rated to create max power with 12v, correct me if I'm wrong? What do y'all think?
