I'm not even very close to anyone they listed. Of course, I know that a position of power is rarely held by someone who wishes to return liberty to its rightful owners.

I figured I was near the center, I have much different views on economy than my views on religion

Politics = huge headache. I try to distance myself from any political labeling.

Don't you see the contradiction?
If you want to promote "conservative and traditional values" you cannot be "free market". The market has a tendacy to continually evolve. I don't see the point of "hoping for a traditional and conservative" values while pushing the merits of a free market.

I was saying that I'm socially conservative, but think that conservative values should not be pressed upon everyone in the nation. For example: I think homosexuality is wrong. However, I don't think it's the government's job to go and tell people who can and can't get married. They can do whatever the hell they want. If gay couples want to get married, more power to 'em. I won't stand in their way.

Fiscally, I think that the government shouldn't be meddling with the economy. I think the government is way too huge as-is. They shouldn't be the savior of the markets, the buyers and sellers should be. Let them do their own thing. Don't see how that contradicts.
