if you use your knife all the time like i do at work, having a lock that takes more than 800 pounds of pressure to disengage is comforting, as i keep all my knives sharp enough to not only shave with but cut a hair without touching the skin, and value all of my fingers. if i was put in a situation where i had to defend myself, a folding knife would not be my first choice. thats what the glock 23c is for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

the craftmanship and attention to detail in a benchmade, especially a limited edition is top notch. the steel they use in the blades is much higher quality than cheap blades. it is harder to sharpen because of the steel being harder, but it holds an edge for a lot longer and will cut through tougher stuff.

you saying that to me looks about a silly as the noob that comes here and says why do you guys pay thousands for high end audio equipment when the stuff at the flea market is just as good. its not.
