Probably ported. I need to find a good sub, and figure out what size port Iam going to need.I have never used that particular sub, so I cant help you there. The amp is a pretty good amp. I had 3 of those amps running my 6 12" Audiobahns. I had everything Audiobahn for a while untill I finally got tired of the way they sounded, I could never get them to sound right no matter how much adjusting I tried to do. I finally gave up and went all Alpine instead, and I am much happier with the sound of Alpine subs. I still have everything sitting in my room as I stated, I kind of like all the chrome shine in my room //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif . That amp does have very good control options. What kind of box u going to use.
I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, buddy, but it occurs to me that perchance this is a case of mixed up priorities. A) You've sold your current substage and seem to be quite concerned about getting it replaced in a hurry.Since I recently quit my job, I have no income. I am pulling this money out of my budget set aside for my bodykit and paintjob.
Well that like the second time, but I am not totally into woofers, I was perfectly happy with what I got now. But when a dude offered me way more for what I payed for, I jumped on it. And then I decided that I would just get a 15", so I had it all planned out, and someone told me that the setup I was going to buy was junk. So after promising the dude that I would sell it to him, I decided to keep my promise. So now I was just looking for a decent, not great, little system to fulfill my listening needs. I understand saving is the best thing to do when you are really in to something... That is why I saved up $700 for my bodykit for my car. I know people on here will be telling me and asking why I will spend $700 on a bodykit, and like $200 on a system, to answer that.... I just don't really know why. I am not totally into big systems, I just want to get the best that I can buy for a real low price... Call me cheapI'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, buddy, but it occurs to me that perchance this is a case of mixed up priorities. B) You're a bit of a novice as evidenced by your questions regarding Volfenhag and AudioBahn gear.
I feel pretty safe in saying that none of the potential substage options you've posted would keep you satisfied for very long. I truly believe you'd be considerably more pleased in the long run if you were to save for a bit (yes, do without a substage for the moment...the sufferings we must endure when we're unemployed!!) and buy something that will sound decent and last for awhile. There really is a reason the saying "you get what you pay for" came to be.
Just my $0.02
