I bought some rca's there not 2 channels there just single one end on one side the other on the opposite....so can i hook it up from my amp(mmats 3000.1) to my head unit(alpine cda 9830) and still get a full signal?..my head unit has 2 inputs for the rca's and so does my amp...just wondering if this would be ok to use it like this or should i get an adapter.

You mean like run two single interconnects from HU to amp? Two singles are same as two interconnects in one jacket...They are both seperate but just the jackets are together when you buy a 2ch rca. So try it and see how it sounds.

Not to nitpick here, but the head unit has outputs and the amp rca's that you need to be concerned with are labeled inputs not outputs. Now anyways, if it was me, I wouldnt worry about using a y cable behind the deck but I would be tempted to go out and get a y cable to use at the amp. Then I would try both ways, with the y cable and without and see if there is a difference. Amps are funny things when they are mono channel, sometimes using both RCA's wont make a difference and sometimes it does, but you definatly dont need one behind the deck because as was already said, its a mono signal. It also doesnt matter which one you use behind the deck, left or right they are carrying the same signal.
