well this is odd..

the speakers in my dash are 3.5" (2007 Jeep Liberty).. so i went on Crutchfield to look at some 3.5" speakers and the website says that none of the 3.5" speakers they sell will fit my Liberty. Doesn't make any sense to me. Is there some sort of mod that needs to be done to make them fit?

rip out all of the stock speakers and run a nice component set with a decent 2 channel amp.

money is tight at the moment since i just bought a new amp to power my subs 2 days ago. i'm working piece by piece

In case you buy 6.5" speakers you'll need a ring, the door speakers are actually about 6.75"

If I was you I would buy the component set in pieces, like for a budget look up Lanzar OPTI6pm 6.5's, then like buy a crossover on Parts Express or something then a Madisound tweeter.

I would stop looking at crutchfield they are the most over priced place around to shop.
