I realize that this will be fairly sensitive (and I don't know if you're even still posting here), but can you share what your experience was like?

For example, were you taking oxycodone, or heroin, or were you extracting the opium from live poppies? When you first started, what type of doses were you doing and how frequently?

Much of the data I've seen on opiates suggests minimal withdrawal effects and limited addiction if you keep it to small doses, and it is safer to use the less concentrated opiates you get from the live poppy (as opposed to buying processed heroin or pill opiates).

I think sharing this type of information can help others avoid making the same mistake. It's nothing you need to be embarrassed about, and it's good that you're seeking help if you need it.

Probably, but it is a lot more serious than people take it for. My Aunt shakes if she doesn't have a beer basically all the time. She will be shaking, drink a beer, and it goes away. I'm not talkin little burrr shake, she shakes like she has severe parkinsins disease or something.

Also, I'm willing to bet prescription pill abuse is getting to devastating numbers. ALL of my aunts pop them like candy, and then talk about how good they are and shit. Just because a doc is handing it out doesn't make it ok.
