Way to power speakers??

Hey everyone! I own a JL 300/4 and was wondering if I decide to buy some nice speakers for the front, can I just run a pair off of the amp??? To where I would be getting around 150 watts per speaker??? Also if anyone has any suggestions on speakers in the $200 range, it would be greatly appreciated. I had a pair of MB Quart PCE-216's and loved them but heard MB got bought out and went downhill. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, you can bridge your amp to 2-channel, it says so on the website -- http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=437

As for speakers, go around and have a listen to what you like. I saw a set of Diamond Audio S600s (hex) component speakers for right @ 199.00 a while back. IF I remember correctly, these sound comparable to the MBQ's you really like -- I know people did like the Diamonds though ...
