any one know of a good wax to use to stop sun damage? I donno that much about car wax and my car paint is getting eaten away by the sun. I want to put on some wax to protect my car from the sun since its gonna be sitting in the sun all day while i'm at school. are there any draw backs to using wax or cons? i just need to stop or slow down the sun damage untill i can save up to paint my car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that cheap turtle wax does a great job. Its like 4 bucks for a plastic jar, which is enough to do 2 cars with.

Try to park in the shade, if at all possible. Maybe you could invest in a car cover?

Personally I use the pure carnuba wax. Autozone has it.

I use Klasse acrylic polish. It's good stuff and easy to apply. It's an all-in-one, cleaner, polish and protector. It last a good while, much longer than carnuba wax. Also, you might want to use the Klasse high-gloss sealant glaze, since yours will be in the sun a lot. But I don't think it makes the paint as glossy when it's applied for some reason...

should i wax it on by hand or is a buffer gonna be better? they like 14 buck at walmart.

I just do it by hand. I have a Porter Cable orbital buffer I use on problem areas.

Don't use a PC unless you know what you are doing with it. The buffer at walmart for like 14 bucks just makes putting on and off easier, it cant go fast enough to take out scratches and so forth. I would wash the car, claybar it, wash it, polish it, wash it, and wax it.

Don't use a rotary unless you know what you are doing with it. The PC's dual action system should be pretty idiot proof ... unless you're a complete tool and you're trying to screw up your paint.

Klasse is some pretty good stuff.I also like there interior stuff aswell.

Primo thats what im tryimg to prevent from happening. the top of my car looks like da hood in the pick but not whats in the middle. it looks more like the white stuff thats on the sides.
