Waveguides

I think I paid $300 for mine brand new a long time ago (maybe 10 years ago) They are peizo drivers so you don't need a x over. Excellent value for the money as upgrading to the 7 series was a total pain in the ***. You need a crossover at an uncommon 800-900 hz. for the 7s and also 1/3 octave eq. Everyone runs that Rane procesing, because you basically need it to make the horns sound good.

I'm going back to the peizo drivers myself.

True HLCD, using true compression drivers, are a much better solution and will ultimately give much better performance than piezo based horns.

Finding a crossover that can highpass at ~750hz-1.25khz (depending on the type of horn used) is not every diffucult. You don't need to spend the money on Rane and converting their products to 12V use to make horns sound good.
