OH GOD I Cant wait until the nugs start winning games in the playoffs. I can see it now. People will be like it's a fluke, they are gonna lose the next game

Reality check my friend.
i never said that they can take the championship. in a nutshell, i'm saying that san antonio better not sleep on them. they are much improved from the first 3/4 of the season.

that was bad, but it still took a miracle shot for detroit to beat them. what does that say for detroit? imediately after that, they killed the suns by 30. killed the lakers by 30. beat the mavs. beat the lakers again. beat the clippers. beat the lakers again tonight.
the suns, lakers & jazz wins were good wins for the nuggets.
The win over the mavericks was without josh howard, one of their top scorers and rebounders (he sprained his ankle in the first. he was able to play, but since they pretty much had the 1 seed locked up, they didn't care about the game enough to risk further injury).

the win over the houston rockets was by a 5 or 6 point margin, and the rockets played without McGrady OR Yao.

I don't see the nuggets making it out of the first round... and DEFINITELY not out of the second.

i'd be happy with a first round over san antonio, as unlikely as that is, but it's dallas's year, which would be the next series if the nuggets got past san antonio.

i could see the nuggets going for 6 games with dallas, but they don't have all the pieces together yet...
the nuggets are on their way up in the world tho... if they could pick up a kevin garnett or other pure interior scorer, and play good defense they'd be a VERY dangerous team... s**t, they'd be dangerous as hell with jason terry on the perimeter (imagine a melo & terry backcourt...)

good thing the mavs don't plan on trading JT lol

nene is coming along and camby is a good center. if they had 1 more deadly perimeter scorer, especially from 3 point distance, they'd be dangerous. they've gotten better from 3 points, but not good enough. not like dallas and phoenix.

Denver could NEVER afford any of the players you mentioned while keeping Melo AND AI.

And as far as the guy who said Detroit WON'T be in the Finals.....it's either them or Miami....

Denver ONLY has a shot if the planes of Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Utah all crash while Detroit can actually beat any of the East teams in a series......

It's Dallas' year though...I'd be surprised if they didn't win it all

i'll agree on the dallas point. houston can't beat the nuggets if they keep playing like this. neither can utah. san antonio and phoenix are better teams than the nuggets. i'm sayin' that they'll play san antonio tough in the playoffs. if they would've played as well all year as they are now, they'd be the 4th seed. i'm sayin', from what i've seen the past 6 games in particular, they're finally playin' as a team, and not individual. someone finally got carmelo to play defense and make the extra pass. AI is an awesome team leader. LK is playing really good out of nowhere, and nene looks 100 percent better than he has all year. they just look like a different team than they were a month ago. a month ago i hated watching them (but did anyway), because they were terrible on defense and selfish with the basketball. not now. i predict san antonio in 7 games. it'll be a really good series to watch.

Since when is Melo a back court player?

JT isn't too expensive... only 8 mil a year //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif lol

Dallas has some hurdles to jump... the warriors are a potential first round matchup... and i could see them going for 6 or 7 with the mavs (if their shots fall, since their whole gameplan is to outshoot you).

Houston or Utah wouldn't go down easy, but i'd pick the mavs over either team in 5 or 6 because the mavs match up well against either team.

then they've got SA or the suns to play... and thats going to be a toss-up... i think the mavs would PREFER to play the spurs, just because they match up better against them, but either one will be a tough opponent.

As long as the first round opponent isn't GS i think dallas has a pretty easy time with the first two rounds... the last two will be difficult.

Since when is Melo a back court player?
*A.I/Terry backcourt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
i started to correct myself when i first noticed that after posting but my computer was acting dumb and wouldn't let me edit that post...

I hope the warriors make it over the nuggets! They deserve it, its like 10+ years since they've been in the playoffs. They wont get far, but I want them in it. They can beat any team at home (probably not consistantly though) but away they are HORRIBLE. Good luck to them though, looks like they and the nuggets are tied right now. How exciting!
