I have a question, If you buy a 230$ sub and it fked up after 2 days of breaking it in, You get a new one under warranty, but should the company also pay for the shipping to ship the broken sub back out to the them? The shipping is 23$

My problem is that my brand new RL-p the surround came off the cone. I didnt even get a chance to turn that bad boy up. Mike from SS said he will send out a new one as soon as I send the broken one back. I have no cash to pay for that shipping cost.

 
I have to pay a speeding ticket $150, a 500$ surgery that I dont want to talk about, and gas is 2.30, I drive a yukon 12mpg. And I just got a job last week, and my 2 week check is only going to be around $250, so I'm pretty broke.

My dad is the one pissing and moaning about it, he said that he sold me a shit sub and should pay for the cost to get a new one. He won't let me send it, he thinks hes a hard ***.

 
No small company would ever honor warranty repair if they picked up shipping both ways...just isn't economical.

I'm agreeing with you, But my dad is just like, He sold you a pair of subs for 473$, one doesn't even work, and they are a peice of shit. He says I waisted my money buying from a shit company that can't even cover their mistake.

He kind of has a point. But i dont think he understands that almost EVERY company, including huge companies for any kind of product, make you pay for shipping back a defective product.

Were they broken out of the box? Perhaps you could go after the shipping carrier for damages...just ask Req, such things are known to happen.

 
The glue from the surround to the cone was bad, It wasnt my fault, my other one is perfectly fine, I didnt even get to turn anything up, I have never heard 2 12 RL-ps and its sad. My one that is hooked up now is beautiful i love it SS is such a great company for offering to send me a new one. But after paying that much for some subs, I think it would be covered.

 
WOW Mike from SS said he will cover me the shipping. What a ****ing great company.... He saved my ***, my dad was about to send both back for a refund...... hes an a**hole.

We all gotta love Mike from SS hes a great guy, and SS is a wonderful company, Great customer service, great products (besides that one defective sub, which I think it's only the third one defective he has ever sold........)

read the warranty info in that comes in the box......... They tell you in that literature that the warranty doesn't cover shipping costs. Good to hear SS took care of you though. They didn't have to.

There was no warranty in the box, nor on the website, nor in any of the info he had emailed me when I was purchasing. I didn't even know I had a warranty in the first place, until I emailed Mike. Besides a scare, Mike will have me bumping in no time.
