The kicks are for a 1999 dodge dakota ext cab So what should I do? Thinking about bending it but it would be tough because the lever has folds on the outside to strengthen it. Another option would be to cut it down so it can clear the kicks. The last idea I had was cut the lever and weld it back on at an angle. So, for those who have had this problem, what did you do?

without heavy modification, your only two options are to either stop using your e-brake, or find a different speaker location.

if you want them badly enough, just quit using the e-brake.

Modify Parking Brake Pedal: Using two crescent wrenches, you need to carefully bend the brake pedal arm so the pedal pad is relocated approximately 3/4" to the right.

yeah it would look pretty funny with it welded back on but its prob my best option besides not using the e-brake. Haha crutchfield must be trippin because there is no way a person can bend that thing with two cresent wrenches. Its strong as a bZ and its a weird shape. I think ill have to do some "heavy mods" Oh yeah NGSM i know you have a dak, can i see some pics of your kicks?

I seen someone that cut the footbrake except part of the end and he uses something like this http://www.itsasnapwireandcable.com/linear_actuators.htm to actually make the footbrake push in. Costs a little money and modding but it works well.

Just take it out, it unbolts. Unless you actually use it. Put it back in if/when you sell the vehicle.

no, there are no side effects of not using the e-brake.

swap out your E brake pedal for a handle from an older Toyota pickup. They're easy to install and it's not in the way of anything

You can glass a mold of the back of the brake lever and then mount it accordingly. Similar to how you would place a speaker ring just in a different location.
