about 3 days ago i purchased a wireless-routier and wireless networking card from walmart. i worried with that thing for 2nights then i decided to take it back. (i know how to hook them up but something was wrong with it are my computer, i just recentley bought a d-link with is better and i worked just fine). anyway i lost my reciept, and i was like o well ill just get a gift card. so i went in to get my money back, and the lady of course took it out and made sure all of it was thier, it was. she asked me when i purchased it, i told her. everything was going good, then out of nowhere she says we cant take electronics back without a recipt. i was like wtf, i paid over 100dollars for it, it was all in perfect condition. we argued about it about 15minutes, then i asked for the manger. the manager came over recheck the contense. the manger asked the clerk why didnt you give him is money back. she said, because he didnt have his reciept. she said, give him is money back, now. she said to me, srry for you frustation. then she looked at the clerk and said, for his frustation give him cash back instead. after i got my money back the manger followed me out the door apolizing to me and stated that the clerk will be hearing this again.

i reckon the clerk thought since i was 18 she could push me around.

i mean thats just bad bussiness for walmart. i am very let down with them rigth now

just wanted to tell yall the importance of keeping your reciept

i would not take anything back or give any money back with out a reciept. so good for her.

ummm..... duh! lol.

Seriously, ALWAYS KEEP THE RECEIPTS for ANY electronic purchases... manufacturer almost always has 30 - 90 day warranty and you will need it for proof.

My walmart is the worst, they got security patrolling the parking lot and it looks like a rap video shoot inside. On a side note every time I go there a third of the parking is full of mid 90's chevy barettas and a third of those have crappy looking mods done.

Definitely keep the receipts.

The Walmart here will take anything back ... even products not bought at the store.

yes i know i should have kept the reciept but accidents does happen.

but if its obvisious its not hurt and it came from walmart. i dont see the problem.

walmart will lose money in the long.

about 2 years ago walmart and rat shack both sold linksys routers.. rat shack sold it for alot cheaper ( 89 bucks ) wal mart sold it for 189

When I worked there the same was true. I remember getting back a RadioShack phone battery, opened dvds, and other stuff that Walmart didn't even carry. For the most part, once you asked for the manager, the manager would side with the customer no matter the circumstance.

I love wallmart.

I found a broken phone, in box, in dumpster, then returned it to wallmart and traded it out for one that was on clearence, then took the one i got on clearence for my 50$ back to kmart where it was worth 90$(not clearence) then got a new 90$ phone from them. Now thats thinkin.

try working at one then do some *****ing. Tons of stuff gets stolen everday. One day someone walked out with 2500 worth of computer stuff. Sucks being a college kid.
