So i keep hearing this talk about the W7 at my work... EVERYONE just shushes me even when i talk about the AQ subs... They are starting to sway me towards the W7 instead of a 15" AQ... Are the W7 the best subs? Will they pound the hardest for that price range?

i would also say the w7, people hate on jl because its expensive, but ive yet to hear a sub that got as loud as my 13w7 and sounded as good doing it.

Not saying ive never heard louder or better sounding (my idmax) but a combo of the both.

w7 has its rep for a reson besides noobs think its cool

My XXX got louder and sounded better than my buddys W7.

My Mag sounded better and got allmost as loud than my buddys W7.

My Idmax sounds 5x better and got just about as loud as my friends W7.

Yes its possible and its completly install dependent. It not just uber sub and BAM great sound. It may take a little work, but you can get a used idmax for 230 shipped. vs. a w7 for 400 used. The max gets my vote.

Nice...I will consider this.

Take into consideration that the W7 is made in Florida by us workers and the idmax is made in China. Of course the idmax is cheaper because they pay the chinese kids peanuts to make it. I respect jl audio for building the stuff in Florida even though they actually have to give their workers health insurance.

x2

support your own countries made products and not the dam vietcong putting together your moofers and tinsel leads for 3.28 peanuts per hour

Yeah, but aren't all the parts made overseas anyways? lol

EDIT: I'm really for American made products too. Really upset the American car industry is going down the drain.

Isn't RE made in las vegas and so is FI aren't they..
Only Re Mx and xxx are made in the US. Their amps and speakers and their cheaper subs are all no longer made in the us. They say "designed and engineered in the us." That is just another way of saying some kid in a sweatshop is building it in a third world communist country.

at least 7-12 subs that I have owned would trash a w7 in sq and spl and most def in price...

The w7 is a great woofer but you gotta remember install is key. You can make a w7 sound like sh!t if your install sux
