W7 vs treo ssx

Ive been wondering which of these subwoofers to buy in a 12, i know just about everyones heard a w7 but how does the treo stack up against it and if you had to choose which one would you choose ?

In terms of the ever popular "SQL", I'd rather have a w7. Hella easier to power and generally considered to be more SQ oriented than the SSX.

yes. i personally enjoy the sound of them. i had two 13W7s and i got rid of them because i wasnt happy with how they sounded. loud, but i not my taste.

Very well put. Ive owned both, and various sizes of both. The SSX will hand the JL its azz with ease whether it be SQ OR SPL.

Im doing very close to 150 TL in a daily driver that has the 15's. Best daily driver set up ive ever had, and ive had many. They impressed me so much im doing it again. Every single person that heard the SSX's in the Rodeo asked me wtf i was thinking when i changed them out, so apparently others think highly of them too.

Installed correctly, you wont be disapponted.

It isnt all about being loud. Loud can be had for much less, with less cone area.

They arent they "end all be all", i just happen to like them.

i would feel confident in saying that a good install with a SSX and a good install with a MT will be pretty close to dead even as far as loudness goes.

I take back what i said. If Wayne can rebuild a SSX i sent back in last year, he has HAD the parts to make the GD subs that were supposed to have shipped already.

I called RE today and asked them for 2 D4 XXX's. Awaiting reply.

This ought to be interesting.
