W6v2 vs IDQv3 vs X

Probably getting old with these comparison threads but help a brotha out. What Im wondering is if you had to rate the 3 subs in order of SQ and SQL which would be 1, 2, and 3 for each of the 2 categories?

Pairing with a PG X600.1 or PXD1.600 amp. Debating sealed or ported at the moment but Im open to either. Will be a single 12"

So how do they rank. For instance heres my guess on SPL

1. Type X

2. W6

3. IDQ

I imagine its the exact opp for the SQ but again, opinions wanted!

Also for the X, is 600w enough (although I think both of these amps put out close to 850)

I have the W6 and the IDQ. The IDQ is louder than the W6. They both sound fantastic, hard to place one over the other in SQ. I have never heard the X. But nothing I have heard/read indicates it is in the league of the other two when it comes to SQ.

I had type x's for a while and was not impressed at all...They are very power hungry, honestly they dont stand a chance against the other to sq wise

chaunb, I assume the list is the same if referring to 850w rms right? Both these amps are underrated and put out closer to 850 or so watts

dftnz, what size boxes are each of your subs in? (w6 and idq)

You will need 1000 rms for the X.They are twice what my 'R's are. I'm not saying that the 600 watt amp won't make them function .You would be giving them 2/3 of what they are rated for.I like the sound of my 'R's better than the X.I still have my 2 12w6 in a vented enclosure.The 'R's pound harder,the 12w6's have a richer sound...Alpine50

overall i would get the IDQ, its the best all around driver on the list

IDQ is in 1.1^3 sealed, W6v2 is in 1.0^3 sealed.
