I don't agree. A 9515 with 1k makes for a ****ed loud daily driver ported, and still sounds decent. Won't have to risk killing it either.

in general yes what your saying matters

in this case

this kid wants to simply swap the JL for the DD

my examples are directly related to his issue

his current box, amp, and electrial , won't be condusive for seeing noticable gains

Killing it? its take more then 2k to kill a 9500 and plus its alway been a rule of thumb for dd's

under 2k get the 3500s

ive ran a 12w6v2 ported in 1.65cuft off of an 81000d and it was very loud and sounded good. i think though, the dd will have an spl advantage beeing thats what its designed for. if just spl is what your looking for, than the dd is the best choice of the 2.
