Where the heck do I get either cables? Panansonic or Alpine? I switch from the D106 and now I am SOL because I can not find a F.O. cable. the D106 used the regular one!!!

Looks like when they discontinued the H701 they got rid of the cable. Not much need for it I guess (in their mind).

^ yep that's it.

frankly, you'll be lucky to find the alpine cable. you might just have to track down the pioneer cable.

I'll try to dig into this a bit... I found a 4-pin connector that converts electrical to light... using that might allow you to simply plug the connector into the headunit, and then you use a standard toslink cable out.

I sent you a link to the thread discussing the type of connector. I got your PM.

If you just read the link you should find a link to the type connector I'm thinking you can use.

You buy the connector. It fits on the headunit. The connector has a standard toslink output.

You buy a toslink cable. Connect it to the connector piece that goes to the headunit. Then the other end goes to the processor.
