volara or neoprene?

Which would be better for sound insulation on door panels and whatnot. And what is a good adhesive that is locally available to stick it to the doors?

I can get 105 sq ft of 1/4" volara for 75 bucks shipped

Or i can get 80 sq ft of 1/4" neoprene for 75 bucks shipped.

I've heard good things about volara and bought some, but have yet to install it. You're installing it over a layer of sound deadener/dampner right? Also, is the neoprene closed cell (will it absorb water)?
