Voice activation/ phone / talk button not working

Hi.  First post here.  I just installed a Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX in my 2008 BMW X3 with factory blue tooth using a Scosche dash kit and wiring adapter.  Even add in a back up camera for good measure and everything works perfectly....almost.  The volume and track/mode/station buttons on the steering wheel work but the voice activation button (one with the face on it) doesn't seem to work.  Any ideas?

Did you get a PAC adapter as well? Most cars these days need to have some translator in between the car and radio.

Yes.  The Scosche wiring adapter came with a sub-harness which used the steering wheel control output from the factory wiring and outputs an 1/8" plug for the new radio.  Just can't figure out why all but one of the buttons works.

You might need to program it.
