Visonik V417sx

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this amp, as I am looking to purchase one. Also, I would be using it to push my 2 MTX 451204s which are single voice coil, 4 ohm subs, 225w RMS. Amp specs:

4 x 100W Rms @ 4Ohm Stereo

4 x 150W Rms @ 2Ohm Stereo

2 x 400W Max @ 4Ohm Bridged

How much would this amp put out to each channel if i bridged it (4 ohm load each channel), as it says 400W to each channel MAX; anyone know what the RMS in this scenario would be?

Generally the bridged output for a multichannel amp is somewhere around twice what the 2 Ohm stereo output for a single channel.

Ergo: If a 2 channel is rated for 100w X 2 @ 2 Ohm stereo then it will normally do somewhere in the neighborhood of 200w X 1 @ 4 Ohms.

In your case if the RMS output per channel is 150w @ 2 Ohm stereo then it will likely do something like 300w X 2 @ 4 Ohms mono bridged. (assuming those RMS output figures are close to accurate which I have reservations about considering the amp in question)

lol so im getting the hint that visonik is crap, how is this amp? Profile AP1000M

It is 500W X 1 at 2 ohms so I would be getting 250W to each sub right? (Since two SVC 4 Ohm subs wired to a mono amp has a load of 2 ohms? right?)

I am currently on the fence about buyin this amp now after reading this are there any other amps that are under 100 and have good sound quality ive been lookin at a jensen and spl fx4 amp......... im goin to use the amp to power four alpine type r's 6.5 speakers

That Visonik amp is fused at 40 amps so that 800 watts MAX rating means absolutely nothing. You'll be lucky to get 400 watts RMS out of it total but it should still be enough power to get loud.

Wow this is old.

Coincidentally all 3 of the multi-channels have 2x20A's, and the Jensen is CEA-2006 certified so I would bet it's 75x4/200x2 ratings are the best representative of what those amps will do. I don't think any is significantly better or worse than the other 2. All servicable budget amps IMO.

I would probably go with the Jensen or PA over the Visonik, and considering the price difference I'd probably go Jensen.
