Virus Scanners

My PC-Cillin is about to expire, and before I renew it, I am wondering if there is anything better for the money. I don't want to spend more than 40 bucks a year on a virus scanner and PC-Cillin wasn't a whole lot from what I got in the trial that came with my motherboard.

Any suggestions?

Norton actually has one of the better anti-virus' out there. They have pretty much been the main player in this market for some time.

Only downside is that they can get a bit pricey.

AVG Anti-virus is also darn good. The cash aspect for it too is there.

Combine that with regular updates/scans/system maintenance, and a little common sense and you are set.

I work for a computer place where we repair, build, and sell computers and they only program the we have found to work well and user friendly is Norton.

Norton SystemWorks with Trend Micro SysClean and Ad-Aware as backup is excellent. Nothing'll get past those babies. I used to have PC-Cillin, but took it off because that stupid pop-up window was irritating as hell.

i use something called Fix IT utilities 5 and the virii scan on that is just great and also i dont have to pay for any new updates after so much time at all been using it since version 3 and havent had one single problem yet
