Viper 5901 in 99 Grand Cherokee

THis alarm was installed by an obviously incompetant shop , wut i told a freind i would try and figure it out . . THe alarm will not unarm after being triggerd, it has to run the complete cycle before being unarmed , the remote start is installed and works fine , has a factory key installed in a module under the dash. any ideas ?
