Video of my setup! im000204.mpg About the video: It is large, (5.4 megs) I do not have time to render it into a smaller file at the moment. It shows the computer playing a video, then to the remote switch, then to the subs and speakers, then the amps. The sound is terrible due to using a digital camera rather than a true video camera. Thanks to all who post on this board! I finally settled on this setup to play videos in my work van without using a hu. I installed a remote switch on the dash to power on the 2 amps. I then have the rca’s going into the 400w amp to power the speakers. I have not built proper boxes for the 6x9’s, I wanted to see if it would work before putting in too much time. Yes, this is a very unconventional setup, but it gives me what I want within my budget. It seems the PSW has a built in amp. When I have the PSW on, the 6x9’s play at twice the volume as compared to not having it on. I have not had a chance to check wattage due to the lack of a test tone. (I will work on that soon) Yes, I know my components ****, but since it is a work van, I didn’t want to put a real system in. It’s bad enough having all of the tools as a temptation, much less $1800.00 worth of audio equipment. Comments/flames are welcome. And if there is anybody in Greensboro, NC for the next 3 hours (3:30 EST), I would like an honest opinion on the sound.
