[QUOTE="Zach3stacks, post: 7875181, member: 644715"] hi guys im zach, ive been a professional installer for 7 years now. my sisters friend approached me today after hearing the small system i installed for her, (mtx 6000 12" in a sealed box with a pioneer 700 watt amp) in her scion xb. he wanted to know why his didnt sound like hers, so i took a look at it and im stumped. he has a nice alpine double din, alpine mids and highs on an alpine amp (not sure the size but its irrelevant) and an alpine 1200 monoblock amp pushing two alpine type R 12" shallow mount subs, a red top optima and a 2 farad power acoustik cap. the subs are in an under seat downfiring box in the back of a gmc sierra. they are single 4 ohm. he has 4ga wiring, 150 amp wafer fuse, and its all installed professionally and properly by a local shop (that has a negative reputation)and his amp is all the way up. all this being said, i have done everything i know to diagnose the problem and i come up empty handed, his subwoofers put out the bass of about 1 cheap *** 10" subwoofer. and his lights are dimming with the bass. suggestions needed PLEASE HELP!
