Yes, but for simplicity, and reducing noise at the same time, it's at a good price point in my mind.

I'm currently using Zalman pure copper 120mm coolers on 2 of my main machines. Works great, only ~$50, gets a nice OC, is quiet compared to most fan coolers -- but... it still makes noise. Quiet is gooood.

I would never, ever do a complicated water cooling setup (like the one pictured). Sure looks neeto', but I'm in and out of my case, and swapping parts, way too often. Really does look like a very nice job on that though. Will have to check out the thread...

but like everyone else. ive been watching since the beginning but had to stop reading because of the massive ammounts of spam. i just pushed it out of my mind and ive been waiting for the end product since orac3 page 2.

but fantastic. dont forget to mention how many man hours and how much $$ you have spent over the 8 months. (include write up time, beers, badaids, and stuff like that )

Friend of mine who lives down the street dropped about $700 on phase cooling, keeping his processor at like -35degrees C.

no idiot, obviouosly if it did all the compoenents would fry and they woulnd have never completed the project. Go and ahead and poor water on your setup and see what it does and compare it to that website......

many years ago I built a peltier-cooled Pentium 1 with a pretty good overclock on it. I don't even remember how far, but it was the fastest thing on the block for quite a while.

peltier is pretty interesting stuff.
