[QUOTE="dcyphure, post: 6924137, member: 576134"] yeah i hear ya. I actually really like the sound of my 12" L7 over my W3v3 JLAudio. Both of which get hated on cause they are mainstream. and prefer it among many other subs i have heard including the old Solobarics. Its really deep sound thats also loud. Most ones i've heard personally dont play lows as loud without well over 1000 watts. and i'm sure its far from accurate but heck i can't tell. I don't see how anyone can really tell much difference in low hz instruments inside a car with sub in a trunk. espeically in rap with synthesized low notes. Some subs do boom low notes at higher freq or have a slight after effect but from a car i could care less. But the only Fi sub i ever heard, which seems a popular brand here, i dunno but honestly it sounded like every other sub i've ever heard. I mean it wen booom, some subs just hit lower than others but they all go booom lol To me it sounds like the L7's play the higher frequecy instruments at a deeper frequency, maybe its me or why their not accurate but i really like it like that. But yeah, really any subs in correct box will pound. I used to have some cheap Jenson 12's in a ported box that would shake my entire house powered by an oldschool RF amp. THose with bad experiences of blown subs...etc naturally won't like the brand if experience is limited to that. But i don't think there really is a "Wrong" brand, just a difference in quality of make and efficiency at various frequcnies. They all copy patents off each other imo. China and Tawian gets ripped on for quality but really they have some of the most soffisticated manufacturing plants on the planet. Nothing special about USA made products, i've seen the lazy workers here making cars after a night shoveling snow up their nose, dont wanna see no more. lol My point of this thread was mainly those who flat out lie and make up stories or exaggerate...not so much the fanbois.
