US Amps or JL?

I have the 500/1 and the 300/4 and think that they are good amps with some nice features. They make good products and do a good job of standing by them. However they are expensive amps and produce no "cleaner" sound than a Hifonics or JBL. After messing with car audio for 16 years I believe that for the most part a watt is watt etc. Boxes, speaker placement, sound deadening, good electrical system and overall install are the most important.

JL is just overpriced and marketed very well.

US amps are some of the best out, I dont feel the JL compare really
