well i replaced my audiopipe apsm1300 with a kicker dx1000.1, it's supposed to be 1000wrms at 2ohms, doesn't even move the woofer. i have to jack the gain and bass boost past 3/4 to even hear it. called kicker all they could say was take it back. i did get to ask why does a $115 dollar amp at 600wrms @ 2ohms out perform yours that was $350? kind of enjoyed that. so, guess it's a another road trip in the a.m. go figure. all i was trying to do was get a cleaner amp, i know i shouldn't expect a big difference, but it should sound atleast as good as the 1300, not worse.

get your money back ,and i'll sell you a dc 1.2 amp 1200 at 1 ohm ,but closer to 1600 at 1 ohm and 1/2 ohm stable too.you see it in prolly 3-4 days shipped by fed ex.and this amp is alot better than both you named

my sub is d4, so i need power @ 2ohms, would like between 800-1000wrms with 100amp or less fusing with 4g pos & neg. the a/p was ok just wanted lil more power, sub is 800wrms, was thinking 1000wrms would be great?

the 2011 model is 550@ 4, 1000 @ 2, not 1ohm stable.

ok thought the dx models were 1 ohm amps.anyway i have a dc 2.0 which will give you about 1400 at 2 ohms ,but you'll need more cash

i did the install, unplugged the old double check connects, plugged in the new. kind of OCD with this stuff so was check several times before final hook-up.

sounds like it was a defective board bro... just cuz it says kicker on it, doesnt always mean it's quality.

yes it does have 0 gauge inputs ,but you can use 4 gauge .the amp is worth the extra money and it leaves room for upgrades later.also it has full 1 year warranty on the amp .the dc 1.2 will give close to 800 watts rms if you want that route, and its 320 shipped

for 350 tho, you can get a much better amp.... especially if you're willing to go used, which isnt a bad option if you buy from a reputable member on here...

mylows 1.2 or 2.0 would do really well... or a rubi thats in the classifieds right now (tho the DC's would be a lil better quality)

Defective electronics are made by every company. Its just a fact. I don't know how it passed the testing but it doesn't mean kicker doesn't make good amps. they make good amps but the price isn't reflected by the quality.

not saying they dont make good amps, cuz they do... but that doesnt mean that just because it is made by kicker, it is autimatically quality.
