Bought insurance and shipped mint condtion amp out in original factory package and box and it was delivered, but ended up with hole on top of box and top fins if heat sink bent. It was like they dropped something sharp or narrow right on amp. Now amp isn't functioning properly and is blowing fuses and ups will not refund. Wtf!

i'm going thru 2 claims now ,both are being finalized and where accepted ,so now lets see how long it takes to get paid.the website says 5-7 business days after all documents have been sent and claim is approved.which i have done.

There's a reason I don't bother insuring anything through UPS. They won't refund you unless whatever your shipping is packed to survive a nuclear bomb. 99% of the time they will blame it on poor packing and not it being their fault.

Didnt we have a thread on here the other day with a couple ex UPS employees that described some pretty awful work ethics they observed while employed there...?

I also know that some distribution centers have conveyor systems that elevate the packages very high off the ground. And when one falls, it is extremely likely to cause catastrophic damage to the contents.
