up until now i had never had any problems with my UPS guy...never broke anything, etc...im not mad or anything about this either, but basically i bought some seats for my truck off ebay for 100 shipped, theyre fabric, and UPS delivered them to the wrong address (luckily it was my friends house like 3 houses down), and on top of that, they just dropped them off last night when there was a tornado warning, so they got soaked. reason i dont care is becusae i am recoving the seats, so it doesnt bother me, but they dont know that.

my question is, if i call UPS (its insured free to 100 right?) and say look, yall dropped my shit off at the wrong house, and you left it in the rain the the whole night, when they had a little area by the front door that was roofed to put the box under....so my seats are soaked.

will they have to take the seats from me to do anything if i consider them damaged (water) or how does that work? i might tell them i didnt recieve them, cuase no one signed and technically i didnt "recieve them" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

What some people don't understand is, unless you pay extra for signature confirmation they aren't held liable for shit once they deliver it.

They'll say its your fault for not being there to receive it.

I did read the whole post, what am I missing.

I didn't say it was your fault that they left it a couple houses down.I just didn't comment on that.

Technically THEY didn't leave it in the rain all night.They just left it on the porch like they're supposed to.So there goes the water damage claim.As for delivering to the wrong house, it happens, A LOT.

But what you're talking about is commiting fraud. I don't see your problem.In the end, you got your seats and you were going to recover them anyway.Your UPS guy just sucks *** lol.
