Tune 30-33hz no matter what you get. No need to go any lower. I'm at 33.5 hz with a single SA-15 and it kills all the way down to 26-27hz. You're running 1500wrms at 2 ohms right? 2 SA-15's would hit even harder than that 18 but would be a bit under powered with 750 each. Just get a nice sturdy box. Definitely not 3/4 inch anything unless it's braced to hell and back. Honestly with 2 sa-15's you'll probably never turn the volume all the way up unless you're showing it off.
