got quite a bit done this weekend...

new box built by my buddy Doug and myself. 12.56 gross... 3/4" cabinet grade ply doubled up all around... slot port tuned to 35... 158 sq. inches of port.

got my SAX100.2 for future tweeter plans (not hooked up, but is mounted)

hacked up the doors a bit to mount one sundown 8" neo pro in each.

mid build

That's gonna b nasty.

One question and I am really just curious why did you go with cabinet grade 3/4?.. Is there a reason? did you just want something stronger than 3/4 mdf? reason Im asking is I just ordered 1" mdf from Lowes for like 65$ for a 4x8 and I am wondering if I would be happier with 3/4 ply. the plywood would be easier to work with i figure but that stuff is high dollar is it not?

Bet that box is a biznatch to get in there lol. What 18's are those z or x's ?

I am all up in this cuz I am planning on going with 2 18's myself so I will follow this build very interested on how it turns out.

Also what kind of powa you gonna feed them?

Cabinet Grade (Birch, Oak, etc) are much more aesthetically pleasing and a bit stronger than MDF, but at the same time, a 4 x 8 sheet costs $50-$60 whereas the MDF is $35. As far as being easier to work with, not really. The main differences are MDF produces lots of fine dust (Which can be really dangerous if its a very fresh sheet) and MDF corners/edges are easier to tear up.

But back on topic... We needs videos //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
