There's a difference between racism and bigotry. Everybody's a bigot to some degree, racism is a different institution where one race has power over another. This is why most white people these days aren't racists, they're just bigots. Why? they dont' have power over black people in general. Same with all that "reverse racism" stuff. Not many blacks have power over whites so they're not racists either, just bigots. Yes america was founded and built on racism over africans, natives, asians, even italians, irish, and eastern europeans. But mostly all that exists is racial hatred because of past transgressions and bigoted undertones in the society.
