undecided:DD OR AQ HDC3 OR SA-12

I am gonna go.with the Sa-12's,what sundown amp will make these handle their business the best?I see that they can do more than their 600 rms rating.what would you guys recommend to push them to their optimal performance?

i have a very nice DD 9512g if you want a beast of a sub...good ole hand built goodness unlike the chinese assembly line made AQ's.....

^^ That would be a Korean not Chinese assembly line. Plus DD assembles the soft parts for all the HDC3's in house in the good ole USA. Not saying that makes them just as good as DD but they are quality nonetheless. HDC3 12" Min $300 DD9512 12" Min $600...

Sundown SA's are very nice for the price and pretty much walk all others that are priced in the mid $150 range..

I have seen with my own eyes a pair of sundown sa-10's taking a pair of GP3000's strapped. Thats well over 4500 watts got kinda stinky put they did not fail. Not saying the Fi's cant do the same but until I see it with my own eyes I want comment on them.

I have had both the HDC3 and the SA so heres my opinion:

HDC3 is almost twice as expensive as the SA

HDC3 will get low, but not as low as the SA

HDC3 likes 2000w, and the SA likes 1000w

if it means anything I used to run an HDC3 and now run an SA, but dont get me wrong the HDC3 was slightly louder, but the SA sounds better and drops lower.

if it were my money I would invest in a good 2000-2500w amp and run two sa-12s. will get stupid loud, and low in the right box.
