Always wanted a mcintosh for my home setup, had to settle for my carver. ( still a kickazz amp)

The old school ones are nearly bulletproof.

god I hate hearing about carver, it makes me miss my hr895 rec and a500x amp pair up on some cerwin vega dx9's and then some jbl tower's I don't remember the model but for 4 6.5"s and 2 bi-radial silk dome tweeters with down firing flared ported enclosure they sounded soooooooo good and got so loud and I loved the bi-amp set up they had on them!

god now I'm sad.

yea it really is amazing how outdated they are now! but we are talking about 17 years ago so yea there's much better now, but in my memory it sounded awesome!

I have a carver tfm 24 on 2 dx-9's and 2 .....can't remember model# but 2a more cerwin Vega 12" towers

just don't ever overpower the dx9's(keep in mind I was 16)I had wrapped my fuses in foil so they wouldn't blow and ended up tearing the cones on each driver within 6mnths of buying them.
